They are currently members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995.

The Jaguars name was selected through a fan contest. Finalists for the name included the Sharks, Stingrays and even Panthers, but Jaguars was ultimately selected on December 6, 1991. The Jaguars logo featured a  snarling jaguar head with a teal tongue, which Weaver said was his wife's touch. He also claimed that the teal tongue came from "feeding Panthers to our Jaguars" €” an obvious jab at their expansion brethren.

2009 UEFA Womens Euro Logo Design

The 2009 UEFA Women's Championship, or just Women's Euro 2009, is being played in Finland between August 23 and September 10, 2009. Twelve teams compete in the competition, increase of 4 teams from 8 teams that played in previous tournaments. The logo of the championship was unveiled in Feb 2008 and is shown alongside. The logo, which is a mix of bright yellow and orange is in the shape of a person with the head shaped as a ball. The colour palette usage, from light yellow to dark orange, encompasses passion, pride and a sense of a new dawn within the competition. At the same time, the heritage and prestigious past of this tournament is maintained via the use of the distinctive UEFA arch. Beneath the main graphic element and the tournament wording, the host country staging the finals is also referenced, in this case "FINLAND 2009".

The logo was created by The Works, the United Kingdom-based design and branding agency. UEFA also said that future UEFA European Women's Championship final rounds will utilise the same logo, although each time with a personalised brand design highlighting the features of the hosts.

Chicago Bears Logo - Design and History

Chicago Bears Logo - Design and History

The Chicago Bears are a professional American football team based in Chicago, Illinois. They are members of the NFC North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The team is legally and corporately registered as Chicago Bears Football Club, Incorporated.

In 1921, George Halas inherited co-ownership of the Decatur Staleys from A.E Staley. The team moved to Wrigley Field (known as Cubs Park). The other occupants at that time were the Chicago Cubs and so the Chicago Bears were born, to keep with the theme or bears and cubs.

The club's first logo was introduced in the early 1950s as a black bear on top of a football. They kept this until 1962, when the Bears trademark 'C' logo was first introduced.

The change in their logo from the black bear was due to the addition of logos on helmets, which pro football teams started adding in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Unlike some NFL franchises that have had many different looks over time, the Bears have kept the wishbone 'C' for over 40 years.

In 1974, the team decided to keep the same white 'C' logo but to change the color of it from white to orange with a white trim. This is the current logo; however, the club has since introduced alternative logos, including a black bear inside of the orange wishbone 'C', introduced in 1995, and an orange bear head, introduced in 1999.
