There must be very few people who do not recognize the Nike Just Do it logo. With a big arsenal of superstars such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Andre Agassi, Shane Warne, Maria Sharapova, Venus and Serena Williams. This list is pretty long. The company takes its name from the Greek goddess of victory, Nike. The popular Swoosh logo is a graphic design created by Carolyn Davidson in 1971 for $35. |
Peugot Logo - Design and History
The Peugot lion logo is a strong visual brand for the Peugot car. The first lion is designed for marking saw blades and steel products. It symbolizes the three qualities of Peugeot saw blades: the toughness of the teeth, the flexibility of the blade, and the speed of the cut. In 1850 the lion image appeared for the first time on the 'Peugeot Bros' arrow. Initially put on saw blades, this logo was registered in 1858, and for many years would mark the tools manufactured by the brand.
UPS Logo - Design and History
| The UPS logo is one of the most recognized logos in the world. The company along with Fedex has revolutionalized the way in which packages are delivered around the world. UPS has changed its login 4 times in the 96 years of the company's existence.

The new logo was designed by international brand consultancy Future Brand, which has worked with clients such as Walt Disney, GlaxoSmithKline, MSN and British Airways. The logo retains the famous `UPS brown' but replaces the package with a golden arc on top of the shield. The intention is to convey an impression of "freshness and excitement" that reflects the company's new vision of `synchronised commerce'. The new logo draws from the company's history, leverages its brand equity and uses its traditional colours to suggest a company that is thinking ahead and is leading the way in package delivery and other businesses. "The arc at the top and the use of light suggest energy and forward-thinking qualities on a global scale. The redeveloped logo is, in fact, just the cornerstone of the company's reinvigorated visual system.
Pepsi Logo - Design and History

Pepsi is one of the world's most famous brands much like its rival Coca Cola. Pepsi Cola was originally called Brad's Drink after its creator, Caleb Bradham, a pharmacist from North Carolina. Pepsi was a carbonated soft drink he created to serve his drugstore's customers. The new name, Pepsi-Cola, was first used on August 28. The Pepsi logo is a simple globe with the Pepsi colors in the background and the word Pepsi in the foreground. NBA Logos - Design and History
I am big sports fan. Its not like I remember every sports stat or remember every game, but I do like to watch sports on the TV and the NBA is one of my favourite league to watch. This section of the website contains the design and history of the NBA teams such as the Lakers, Spurs, Pistons and all the NBA teams. The fabled Jerry West, otherwise known as "Mr.Clutch," is the player in profile on the official NBA logo. As his biography on NBA.com points out, West is widely regarded as one of the greatest guards in the history of the game. Not especially gifted by height or athleticism, he was a notoriously driven player who broke his nose nine times and often had to be carried off the court. Atlanta Hawks Logo - Design and History
The Atlanta Hawks are one of the worst teams in the NBA. Except for a few seasons in the 1980s and 1990's, the team is usually at the bottom of the league's standing. The franchise was formed in 1946 as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks (named after Tri-City native Black Hawk) of the National Basketball League; it was based in the tri-city area between Moline, Illinois, Rock Island, Illinois, and Davenport, Iowa. Over the years, the team has moved to Atlanta and are now called the Atlanta Hawks. The current logo, shown on the left, depicts a hawk holding onto a basketball. Lets hope that the franchise has a few good seasons for the rest of the decade. |
