Portland Trailblazers Logo - Design and History

The Portland Trailblzers logo is 10 red and silver lines on a black background between script

Harry Glickman€™s cousin, Frank Glickman, of Boston, Massachusetts, designed the original logo, consisting of a straight up and down pinwheel with black on the top and red on the bottom.  It€™s meaning is simple: a modern graphic interpretation of the game of basketball, five players from one side playing against five players from another.

In 1992, the Blazers changed from the lowercase typography to a bold, uppercase typeface, adding a dimension to the word mark and tilting the pinwheel, an affectionate name that evolved with fans and media, forty-five degrees to signify motion of the game.

Sacramento Kings Logo - Design and History

 ImageThe Sacramento Kings are one of the teams in the Western Conference. They have had mixed results over the past few years. With the likes of Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Peja Stojakovic and Jason Williams in the team, the Kings have had made several successful playoff appearances but have never won a title. The team is owned by the sometimes flamboyant Maloof Brothers. The new owners has paid for good talent and the city has a strong fanbase. The team has had a sold out arena streak of over 300 games.

Seattle Supersonics Logo - Design and History

 Image The Seattle Supersonice are one of the teams in the NBA's Western Conference. They were one of the leading teams in the West during the late 90's but have slowly been fading away for the last few years. The current Supersonics logo is a White Colored S (representing Seattle and Sonics) written on a basketball. The S is shaped to be circular so that it covers the ball. The logos is written on a green background which represents the team colors.
